It is an exciting time for us here at Sarre Photography as a new member of the family is soon to be entering our world.
Mervelle is 35 weeks pregnant and is having her first child with her loving boyfriend Iskenda. This is an exciting time for Garry because it will be his first grandchild.

Yesterday Garry was one of the three chosen photographers to participate in the very first Masterpiece Portrait Seminar along with the very talented Ric Syme and Stef King. For those of us in the audience it was thrilling to watch each photographer shoot the same sitter (a beautiful Sudanese girl - a first timer in front of the camera).
It was obvious that each of the photographers were able to put the model at ease quite quickly but what was more surprising was that they had to accomplish this in front of an audience of 100 industry professionals. It was also apparent that each photographer had a very unique vision for what they wanted to achieve with the final result.
A quick lunch break and then the audience was then privy to seeing how each photographer chose their favourite image though there was a lot of enthusiasm from the audience as to which they should select. From here we were taken on a ride through the editing of the images making them print ready, under the time constraints each of the photographers pulled out some beautiful work.

Dog-groomer Connie had seen our portraits of one of her clients hanging in their home and thought having her own portraits would be the perfect pick me up and birthday gift for her partner. Connie loved our photography but was slightly put off as we had no "short-haired" women on our portrait photography website. So for all those cutely cropped girls, here is Connie and we along with her partner think she is pretty gorgeous.
Newlyweds Malgorzata and Nic came to us earlier this month. They were both so friendly and warm and we think it really shows in their portraits.
Patricia came to us wanting an extra special surprise for her husbands birthday. After completing the shoot and choosing her portraits she managed to keep it all under wraps until his big day.
Patricia said his response on first seeing the portraits was initially he was rendered speechless before asking all the details (how, when and where?) He then said "The pictures are just amazing and you look so beautiful!" and Patricia said that was a sweet song to her ears.
"Garry and Odelia it has been a pleasure for me to meet both of you, not only for your sophisticated and delicate work but also for your extraordinary sensibility with me." Patricia

We are thrilled that Garry has been invited to be part of the very first Masterpiece Portrait Series to be held in Perth. Garry will be presenting alongside Ric Syme and Stef King and it promises to be a very unique event with each showcasing their notable and individual styles.
It was also lovely to see that the Award winning Wandana portrait has been used for the promotional flyer!
Seeing Carol earlier in the year at the EveryWoman Expo reminded us of the great shoot we did with Carol and her daughter Alicia a few years ago.
Mother/daughter sessions are really fun because there is such a great range of shots individually as well as together, it is also really lovely watching each woman having their biggest fan there to support and encourage them! Here are some of their beautiful portraits.

The first thing John said to us as we walked into his unit was “Happy or sad how do you feel?” Polite, considerate and ever so accommodating John told us of his many previous occupations and how he loves to cook from the C.W.A cookbook.
On life, the words that resonated with us were “Time is a great healer—it’s just a bugger about death because you may not have healed in time.”
